Our PathOur Path. Paper, 24 pages. Part three in the series “A popular Presentation of Byzantine Christianity” presents the basics of Christian living in our tradition, the path to deification, as illustrated in aspects of the mysteries of Christian Initiation. Suggestions for personal prayer, fasting, almsgiving and hospitality in our life of repentance provide much food for thought and discussion.

 

 


What will we teach them?What will we teach them? Eight 8-page pamphlets exploring the basics of our faith and practice as Byzantine Catholics for parents of children in parish Catechetical programs, ideal as discussion starters for parents meetings or coffee hours. Topics include the articles of the Creed (the Trinity, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church, the holy mysteries and the life of the age to come), the Church year, and principles of Christian living.

 

 

 

Time Line Poster: God Working in Our World. A five-fold poster encompassing the stages of God’s work in our world from the pre-historical records of the Old Testament, through the New Testament and five stages of Church History. Students are to identify figures and events of salvation history and enter them under the appropriate heading. This may be used in the Grade 4, 5 or 6 programs.


Multi-Grade Level Programs

Celebrating Faith Celebrating Faith. Seven Sessions. Using the articles of the Nicene Creed as a framework, this program presents the Church’s doctrine in tandem with the student’s experience of faith.
This program has a Teacher’s Manual (67 pages) and Student’s Leaflets for Primary, Intermediate and Junior High Levels.

 

 


PrayerPrayer. Seven Sessions. This Course focuses on the classical types of prayer (adoration, contrition, thanksgiving, supplication) using the “Beginning” (Trisagion) Prayers as a framework. Options for personal prayer in the Tradition such as reflective Scripture reading, the Jesus Prayer and the examination of conscience are introduced.
